Village of Hope and Love

What's Happening:
The past four months have been difficult for many of the children, battling with life-threatening illnesses. We are thankful that many were able to be treated at Kisumu Specialists Hospital, and that they are returning to health. However, the financial cost has been very high. Your donations will help us to make up the shortfall we face.

The Village of Hope and Love is a ministry to impoverished children. Currently we are partnering with UNTV (Upendo Na Tumaini Village) in the Ikali (Ebusiekwe Esibila) village of western Kenya. UNT Village aims to reach out to address the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of such orphans and destitute and/ or vulnerable children in order to empower them in the society for poverty eradication. Upendo Na Tumaini Village is registered with the Societies of Kenya as a charitable organisation and operates under the directorship of Caleb Osore Esilaba Omufulukhani, a graduate of St Paul's Theological Seminary with previous pastoral experience at Mariakani MCC, More2Life Church and Celebration Church in the greater Nairobi area.

ABOUT US
UNT Village began with weekly meetings with children identified to have substantial need. Each week, the children are fed, tutored in academic subjects and have a Bible lesson. Local Kenyans and overseas friends help pay the salary of three certified teachers, auxiliary staff, food and teaching supplies as well as provide for school tuition and health needs. In the future, it is hoped to start a community school that will partly be funded by student tuitions while at the same time offering scholarships to needy students. Currently UNT is constructing a building to serve as school, library and transit housing. More funding is needed to finish the building and furnish it.
In 2024, the Village of Hope and Love will expand to partner with other like-minded organizations.
