Rabbits and Maize and Furniture oh my!
The last month has been a busy one at Upendo na Tumaini Village. Friends from Alum Baptist Church gave generously and a carpenter was engaged to make furniture to replace all that was recently stolen and to make a much more secure door. All that remains is for the door to be installed and the new furnishings put in their place. Recently, Burke Presbyterian Church in Burke, VA donated books and materials so that the children now have a small library. Others, like the local Church of God close to the Village, and where most of the children attend, are taking a greater interest and want to be involved. In the meantime, the sustainability projects are growing and growing, as you can see. The children help to feed the rabbits, which seem quite happy in their comfortable enclosure.
